Canoe Island Overnight with Friends

Nestled between Shaw and Lopez, quaint Canoe Island beholds Salish charm and serenity. Join Friends of the San Juans on Canoe Island for a family-friendly, 1-night getaway hosted and organized by French Camp! Enjoy the company of your fellow island neighbors and environmental stewards. Participate in the traditional camp programs organized by French Camp staff, including kayaking, swimming in the heated pool, art and woodland activities, as well as guided island-ecology hikes. Enjoy a sunset canoe excursion with other island families in the camp's Voyageur canoe.

Attendees will stay in one of French Camp's 20’ tents that sleep 6, with electricity. Participants will need to bring their own sleeping bags/bedding and towels. Delectable meals will be served by French Camp in their dining hall from Saturday lunch through Sunday lunch.

Dates:
Saturday morning, May 11th — Sunday, Mother's Day, afternoon, May 12th

Getting to Canoe Island:
Participants will be picked up by French Camp staff at each ferry-served island on Saturday morning (times will be announced when everyone is registered). French Camp staff will drop off everyone on the different islands around 3 pm on Sunday.

Cost:
$110 for adults, $90 for children. Cost includes meals (Saturday lunch through Sunday lunch), Camping accommodations, activities, and transportation to and from Canoe Island from your ferry-serviced island of choice. Please let us know if the cost would prevent you from enjoying this wonderful weekend! Financial aid discounts are available.

Space is first come, first serve! Sign-up space is prioritized for Friends of the San Juans' members, donors, and friends until April 3rd. The final registration deadline is May 1st.
